VIPR Summer Research and Practice Experience

VIPR is proud to present our inaugural 2025 Summer Research and Practice Experience. This program provides students, residents, and fellows with hands-on opportunities to develop skills in injury and violence prevention. Through applied research, practice-based projects, and mentorship, participants gain the knowledge and experience needed to prevent and respond to injury and violence in diverse settings.

Summer Undergraduate Research Workshop

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Enrolled undergraduate student at Rice University, University of Houston, or Texas Southern University

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA

  • Ability to commit 15 hours per week for 8 weeks (June 2027 – August 2027)

  • Prior experience in research or scientific writing is preferred but not required
