From crosswalks and bike lanes to street design and neighborhood infrastructure, creating safer routes to school requires thinking beyond individual choices and considering the environments where children walk, bike, and travel each day. 🛑 🚲 🛴

Dr. Zoabe Hafeez, Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at McGovern Medical School and a non-resident fellow at Rice University's Baker Institute for Public Policy, recently spoke with Hello Houston, a program on Houston Public Media, about the need for safe walking and biking infrastructure around Houston-area schools.
