Promoting state-of-the-art education and training, cultivating advocates, and providing hands-on opportunities to prevent and reduce intentional and unintentional injuries.
We are an interdisciplinary core representing schools of public health, medicine, and nursing. Our expertise and forthcoming workshops, education, and training opportunities include trauma-informed care, criminal justice, firearm survivorship, implementation science, programming, and pediatric unintentional injuries, among others.
Injury and Violence Prevention Certificate
Injuries are the leading cause of death for individuals aged 1-44.
This certificate will build awareness of the importance of injury and violence prevention and enhance participants' capacity to plan, implement, evaluate, and sustain practical, evidence-based approaches to injury and violence prevention. You will learn from leading experts in the field and have opportunities to participate in independent research.

VIPR Summer Research and Practice Experience
VIPR is proud to present our inaugural Summer Research and Practice Experience students. This program provides students, residents, and fellows with hands-on opportunities to develop skills in injury and violence prevention. Through applied research, practice-based projects, and mentorship, participants gain the knowledge and experience needed to prevent and respond to injury and violence in diverse settings.
